Dillon Galloway #2 Nebraska (27-1, B1G 17-0) vs #6 Wisconsin (21-5, B1G 15-2) When: Saturday, November 23rd 2024, 7:00 pm (CT) Where: Bob Devaney Sports Center, Lincoln, NE Watch: BTN Radio: Husker Radio Network Live stats Wisconsin is coming to town, and while they wear red just like Santa Claus, they are not bringing any gifts that Husker fans will accept. Well, if they wrapped up a three set victory and handed it to Nebraska like they did on November 1st, I suppose we would...
Scott Bruhn #21 Nebraska heads to Omaha for an in-state rivalry with the Bluejays Nebraska had some good things and bad things happen last time out against North Alabama. They got the win in fairly dominating fashion with help from Callin Hake and Jessica Petrie during their career nights, but turnovers were an eye sore on the stat sheet. Something the Huskers are NOT going to want to do against this Creighton team (AND every Big Ten team). Even bigger news, Natalie Potts confirmed she...
Photo by Christopher Furlong/Getty Images SEC likes to tout itself as the best football conference in the country and to be honest they have a lot working in their favor when it comes to that argument. However, it is interesting to me how it appears to be a general rule that they won’t go play games outside of their comfort zone. They really do not need to because even the bowl games are either at indoor stadiums or in warm climates. With that said I...
Nebraska has yet to have the season it hoped for, with some disappointing performances that leave them 5-5 heading into the Wisconsin game. The schedule lined up, and the new phenom quarterback was in the saddle for what was expected to be a breakout year for the Huskers. While the results have not gone their way, they have been making some waves in the recruiting trail, with the recent addition of linebacker Dawson Merritt (6-3/215) turning some heads. Nebraska has been hot on the heels...
Stephen Bruce Wiscy & the Squawks have owned our collective butts for the last 10 years. So now, more than ever, it’s time to heed the Corn Nation battle cry. This week (and next, when nonono dammit, IF we lose Saturday) the streaks and our own beaten silly psyches tell us to yet again temper hopes for bowl eligibility and it’s hard to argue logically against this: The Huskers are 0-10 in their last 10 meetings vs. Wisconsin. Since 2012, our record against Wisconsin makes...
| Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports Nebraska takes on nationally ranked Creighton this Friday in Omaha. Can they pull off the upset? | Photo by Eric Francis/Getty Images I mean, honestly, at this point, shouldn’t everything be on the table? By the way – will be a nice fall day for a game. The All Reds – why not? I get the whole thing about not appearing desperate, but we’re so far beyond desperate at this point, it’s not even a consideration, it’s a way of life. But even if desperation weren’t a foregone emotion at this point, they also say to quit doing things which fail over... |
| Husker signee Cade Ziola is one of the best in the country. He’ll be a heavyweight at Nebraska. | Photo courtesy of Tim Ziola All five of Nebraska’s signees are ranked in the Top-100 overall nationally for the Class of 2025 by both FloWrestling and MatScouts The #4 Nebraska wrestling team officially inked its entire 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday. I have been following this team for a long time, and I think this may be the best recruiting class I’ve seen in some time... |
Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images And of course the joke of the week… For the first time in a few moons, I actually got to partake in something I thought was merely a phenomenon this time of year, sunlight! The cold, bruising B1G November weather is finally upon us, and so is the “it’s dark when I get to work and dark when I get home” weather. I cannot actually believe I’m typing how much I enjoyed spending 90 minutes in my yard raking leaves while...
Husker volleyball gets yet another sweep. Senior night takes place this Saturday against Wisconsin Husker volleyball cruised to a sweep of the Iowa Hawkeyes for the second time this season. While Iowa got a couple good looks, they were never able to keep any momentum for long as Nebraska would snatch it up right away. One thing I found pretty weird was that the Hawkeyes don’t even play their home games on the campus of Iowa. They play a little bit up the road and...
Photo by Howard Lao/NCAA Photos via Getty Images As feared, the sophomore forward tore her ACL in last night’s game The news we expected, but were still hoping wouldn’t come, arrived a short time ago. Sophomore forward Natalie Potts tore her ACL and will miss the rest of the basketball season. Potts was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year last March and was the Huskers’ leading scorer and rebounder through the first four games. #22 will be back Trusting the process. Turning this setback...
Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images Hopefully ending with a win… I’ll be the first to admit, this particular Husker team is giving me more anxiety than I’ve ever felt before. Like genuinely, sending me into a panicked frenzy that seemingly makes me spiral with each passing week/loss. I know it’s only a game, but dammit a 6th win honestly might alleviate all of my mental pain/frustration. After another tough loss, this one to USC, I was almost worked into a blind rage (call a pass interference...
