Join us for our 2021 Northeast Kansans for Nebraska Picnic

  • Reynolds Lodge at Lake Shawnee on Tin Man Circle
  • Topeka, Kansas
  • Saturday, July 31, 2021
  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We are very pleased that the Voice of the Huskers, Greg Sharpe, has been invited to join us for an update us on the 2021 football team.  He will provide insight on Scott Frost, his coaching staff, players and the upcoming season.  Greg also answers our questions on the entire Husker athletic program including updates on our new men’s basketball and baseball coaches.

We will provide Fairbury (Stadium) hot dogs, hamburgers and adult and non-adult drinks (Courtesy of Fleming Place Wine & Spirits).  The Martin family, owners of Banjo’s in Pauline, will be providing homemade potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw, Runza Hut in Lawrence will provide Runzas, Hooters wings and Frito-Lay chips.  With all these items provided, if you wish, you may bring dessert or another item but that is certainly not necessary.

Northeast Kansans for Nebraska chapter members and their family are free.  Non-members will be asked to make a small donation to attend.  Please let me know in advance if you’re planning on attending.

We will auction Husker memorabilia with proceeds going to our scholarship fund including several Scott Frost autographed items.  Invite a friend and come and join in with other Husker fans in the area as we get ready for the 2019 football season.  We will also honor our chapter’s UNL scholarship recipients and draw for the prizes for those who participated in the “Road to Nebraska” fund raising scholarship program.

Our members will be renewing their family membership at this time of year.  If you have not already done so, we would appreciate it if you would join, or rejoin our chapter at this time.  Please fill out the form located on our website and send it in in advance, or bring it with you to speed things up at the registration table.
