Join us for our 2026 Northeast Kansans for Nebraska Picnic

We’ll have all your picnic favorites waiting for you, including Fairbury hot dogs (the Official Hot Dog of Husker Nation)Runzas, and Hooters’ chicken wings. Be sure to bring your appetite! 

Also, it’s a great time to renew your 2026–2027 membership. If you haven’t yet, please join (or rejoin) our chapter and keep the Husker spirit strong in Northeast Kansas! Please fill out the form located on our website and mail it in advance, or bring it with you to speed things up at the registration table.

By renewing your membership, the annual picnic is included with your membership for you and your family! It’s our way of saying thank you for your continued support. Guests and non-members are welcome and are kindly asked to make a small donation.

Bring a friend and join fellow Husker fans for an evening of great food, fun, and camaraderie as we kick off excitement for the 2026 football and volleyball seasons. This year’s guest speaker is Troy Dannen.

Dannen is in his second year as Nebraska’s Director of Athletics, leading a 24-sport program that has seen strong success on the field, in the classroom, and nationally, including the school’s best Learfield Directors’ Cup finish since 2010. Before coming to Nebraska, he served as athletic director at Washington, Tulane, and Northern Iowa, where he helped grow winning programs, improve facilities, and strengthen fundraising efforts. A respected leader in college athletics, Dannen also serves on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee and has held several national NCAA leadership roles.
