Texas native Bryson Webber signed on the dotted line for the Nebraska Cornhuskers even after Tony White’s departure. Webber is a naturally intuitive player who always seems to be in the right place at the right time to make a play. As a defensive back, this intangible often differentiates the good from the great. Webber is 6-2 (175lbs), which is an ideal size for a DB as he will need to be able to handle the large wide receivers, step into the box, and stop...
Scott Bruhn Nebraska gets the 21 point win despite the slow start Annnndddd we’re back after a week of no basketball, this little break felt like an eternity for me. This game had me stressing in the first half, from shooting poorly from three and the charity stripe to watching Lindenwood chuck random shots up and making them. Nebraska seemed to settle down a bit more in the second half and played Husker basketball. Callin Hake was her normal Callin Hake self. Alexis Markowski got...

And we’ve also got another Merry Xmas Iowa game and more bowl game speculation (Thanks to Michigan, it’s a whole new world from last week.) At 8PM CST Tuesday Night, the HHH has plenty to unpack! A review of another loss to Iowa, this one which the Huskers thoroughly dominated for all but 3 or 4 plays. But those 3 or 4…oof! But there was no rest for the reddish as what will be a crazy offseason started with a bang. Tony White’s leaving (not...

Dylan Widger-Imagn Images Last night there were reports that Dana Holgorsen would not be retaining current/former Nebraska wide receiver coach Garret McGuire. Now it sounds like McGuire will still be on staff but in a different role. Now it sounds like Holgorsen has already found McGuire’s replacement in Daikiel Shorts who was the Kentucky wide receiver coach this season. Nebraska is expected to hire Kentucky’s Daikiel Shorts as wide receivers coach, sources tell @mzenitz and I for @247Sports. Shorts, a former 30under30 member, is considered...
Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images Upon the news that Nebraska Defensive Coordinator Tony White is heading to Florida State we get to have a little bit of fun and ponder who could be replacing him and his role at Nebraska. Below are a few of the names that have been thrown out there. But to be honest, it could be somebody out of left field. So here were go. Phil Snow, Nebraska Defensive Consultant I believe this is the current front runner. That could change...
Scott Bruhn The Huskers host the Lions on Tuesday night The Huskers rebounded from their loss to Creighton with a resounding win over Kansas City. Without Natalie Potts, it is easier for teams to key in on Alexis Markowski. Fortunately, Nebraska is shooting at a high clip from long range, which will force defenses to spread out more. It doesn’t hurt that Markowski can handle being double-teamed, especially in the non-conference portion of the schedule. Amy Williams also moved Kendall Moriarty into the starting lineup....
Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images Do you have a pick for Nebraska’s next defensive coordinator? There is a lot going on in Husker Football Land. As a fan it is scary to see Tony White go. The defense under him has been a strength. It’s also scary to hear that Jimari Butler and Mikai Gbayor are entering the transfer portal. BUT it will be okay. We need to settle down and not react right away. Let’s let things settle a bit and see what Matt...
| I love this. | Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images The professor has signed on for two more years. No word on whether as visor is required as part of the deal. The Nebraska football team announced today recently hired Offensive Coordinator, Dana Holgorsen, has agreed to stay on in the position going forward and has signed a 2-year contract at $1.2M per year. He was originally signed in early November as an offensive consultant before taking over full OC duties a few days later. Under... |
Dan Rainville / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images It may seem like there is more bad news than good news where Husker athletics are concerned. The Husker Black Shorts are the number 2 seed but against Penn State the girls didn’t look as crisp. Merritt Beason hit .091 as the team limped to a .154 attack percentage. But it was fallout from the vitriol of some “fans” and haters alike on social media that drew equal headlines. Beth will be here tonight to walk...
