| Heinrich Haarberg #10 throws a pass late in the 3rd Quarter. | Dale Young-USA TODAY Sports Nebraska walked into this game high, hoping to punch their first ticket to the postseason since 2016. As we all know… that didn’t happen. The Huskers marched into East Lancing, a 3-point favorite, and ended up losing via the same margin. What led to this collapse after such a good 6 game stretch? Personally, it was the Quarterback play. The defense was less dominant than its showings against Purdue... |

Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports Nebraska finishes off the weekend with a sweep of the Scarlet Knights; Head home still undefeated Nebraska 3 Rutgers 0 – 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 This season, Husker volleyball fans have yet to see their team lose and today wasn’t any different. The Huskers swept Rutgers for the second time this season to remain undefeated on the year and move to 23-0. Rutgers ended the match hitting .127 while the Huskers hit .288. The Huskers are very good at holding their opponents...
Photo by Adam Ruff/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images ‘I think there’s only one word that describes the Huskers 20-17 loss at Michigan State. Ugly. The defense wasn’t at it’s best; special teams had issues. And the offense? Simply not good, especially in the passing game. I thought the running game wasn’t bad, but the passing game was … awful. All fingers will naturally point towards the quarterback, and let’s be honest, there was a strong argument to be made to make a change in the...

Photo by Mike Mulholland/Getty Images Michigan State had a good chance of not winning a conference game this season. In the spirit of the holiday season, Nebraska decided to help them out. As far as games have gone for Nebraska, this was likely the most uninspired they looked all season. Part of me wondered if the grass surface had something to do with it. Both the offense and the defense looked a step slow. Or we could give some credit to Michigan State. The Spartan...

The Huskers finish up their trip out east with a match against Rutgers This weekend, the #1 Huskers are out east taking on #13 Penn State and Rutgers. Rutgers and Nebraska met just one week ago in Lincoln with the Huskers coming out on top winning 3-0. This week should be no different. On Friday night, the Huskers traveled to Pennsylvania to take on #13 Penn State. Nebraska ended up winning this match 3-2, but it definitely wasn’t pretty. The team really didn’t get going...
Photo by Mike Mulholland/Getty Images The resurgence took a step back today as the Huskers did some old Huskering habits by losing a late one-score game. I was hoping the mid-afternoon would bring that Nebraska unicorn called bowl eligibility, but instead it only brought another one-score loss and a lovely old couple who wouldn’t stop pestering the staff about the bar buying quail eggs from them. Disappointment comes in many wrappers. Both teams hit the field this morning with different goals. Michigan State was looking...
Photo by Mike Mulholland/Getty Images If I had to pick a word for today’s loss, it would be “uninspired”. It wasn’t just the offense. It wasn’t just the defense or the special teams. It was everything, an all-around suckfest, and that includes the coaching staff. Why, for example, was Billy Kemp on the field if there was no chance of return? Why was he sent out there to field the damned ball inside the ten? WHAT WAS THE POINT? You could have let the ball...
Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports Nate M’s Quick Thoughts: After a game in which Nebraska fumbled the ball five times and still found a way to win, I am expecting a game to come down the pike in which they fumble it multiple times and it finally comes back to bite them. However, Michigan State has lost six games in a row and could go winless in conference this year. I think Nebraska might help that cause. Nate M’s Prediction: Nebraska 20 – Michigan State 10...
