Volleyball rebounded from a loss to Wisconsin to sweep Minnesota. Nebrasketball improved their record to 7-0…yes you read that right! Otherwise, the losses piled up all around the athletic department. The Husker football season came to an unceremonius end with a walk-off loss to Iowa. This season seems to be a failure. | Nebraska is caught up in a “Groundhog Day” nightmare | Photo by Columbia Pictures/Getty Images Nebraska’s Groundhog Day continues on our seemingly infinite loop of ending Thanksgiving weekend. It happened again. For the third straight week, Nebraska’s final offensive possession of the game ended with an interception. For the fourth straight week, Nebraska lost a one-score game. The Huskers needed just one victory in November to extend the season into December (or maybe even January); they went zero for four. For the second straight home... |

| Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports The Huskers close out the season with a 3-1 victory over Minnesota Nebraska 3 Minnesota 1 (25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-23) Tonight’s match was a completely different story than last night’s match. You could tell this team was actually was playing for something and wanted this win tonight. It was nice to see how they could respond after such a disappointing loss. Nebraska had control for much of the match. The third set is where they kind of let up on the... |

| Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports Coming off their first loss of the season against Wisconsin, NU will look to rebound against Minnesota to end the season Yesterday was just a tough day to be a Husker fan. A 13-10 loss to Iowa in football, a 3-0 loss to Wisconsin in volleyball, and a 2-1 loss to Stanford, in OT, in soccer. If that is not just a heartbreaking day, then I don’t know what is. Husker volleyball will look to get Husker Nation back on track... |

It’s also the bye week for the top 8 seeds in the FCS playoffs, so my Jackrabbits have the weekend off. It’s been a dismal weekend for Husker sports. Let’s hope the ladies can help improve that! | Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images It really should not surprise anyone that the team that was leading the country in turnovers lost a close game to Iowa by turning the ball over in a stellar situation. I am not even placing the blame at the feet of Chubba Purdy. The Iowa defense gave a look he has probably not seen all game long when they dropped the defensive lineman in coverage. Purdy obviously did not see Ethan Hurkett as Chubba threw it right to him.... |
