| What’a ya’ think, Todd? | Cyrus Tickle It wasn’t easy, but Nebraska wins its third series of the season. Home Cookin’ Truth be told, this highly anticipated home opener series against South Alabama started off like a dud. Splat. Yuck. It was kick the dog ugly. But then the sun came out and the temperatures warmed up a bit on Saturday and Sunday, and all was good again in Huskerville. Luckily the home team figured out the pitching and the bats halfway through the... |
| Photo by Adam Bettcher/Getty Images The Huskers played a great game but came up short in the extra frame Nebraska came out of the locker room swinging and went toe-to-toe with the media darling Hawkeyes. The first half was controlled by Nebraska, with their defense playing lights-out in holding Iowa to sub-40% shooting. You knew the Hawkeyes would catch fire at some point and the question was whether the Huskers had more punches left, playing their fourth game in four days. The emphatic answer is... |
