That’s more like the Huskers we want to see, a blowout of Northern Illinois with the second team getting a touchdown in the fourth quarter.  This week it’s the B1G opener with a night game against Illinois on the road.  Check out Corn Nation’s analysis of Illinois linked to our website at:  to get yourself ready for the game.

Come and enjoy the game with other Husker fans at our Husker/ Illini game watch on Saturday, September 21st.  Have supper or a snack and a beverage or two.  Make sure you’re there to see if you won a prize during the halftime drawing.  Most weeks we have free Eagle Auto Wash gift certificates and Red Zone discount coupons, along with all kinds of Husker logoed items.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. but many Husker fans start showing up about an hour before that to get prepped for the game. When you arrive please wait to be seated so the staff knows you are there.  Hooters.features the Husker football games on their TVs and have all the other important requested games playing in the background.

In past years, as the football season approached Thanksgiving, we collected donations for the Topeka Rescue Mission to do our small part to give back to the Topeka community.  With the challenges the mission is currently facing, this year we have decided to collect donations for the mission throughout the season, so expect us to “pass the hat” asking for donations.

Hope to see you there.

Go Big Red!
