Can we catch a break?  Fought hard against a ranked Iowa team and came up just short.  Next up, Purdue on Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. in West Lafayette. Keep an eye on the sports news so if the game is canceled, you will know, and we will not have to contact you that the game watch is canceled.

For those of you who are comfortable attending, Hooters is open and hosting Husker game watches this year.  The game is on the Big Ten Network and thanks to their supportive management Hooters has purchased the network so they will have the game and feature it on their TVs.  They will have all the other important requested games playing in the background.  We will have our usual drawing, but this time non-contact, for Husker items during halftime.

Since it is a shortened season, we have decided to collect donations for the Topeka Rescue Mission at every game watch, so expect us to (non-contact) “pass the hat” asking for donations for the mission during the game. If you are not comfortable attending game watches and would like to contribute to the effort, send a check made out to the Northeast Kansans for Nebraska to Susan at the address on the membership application and we will add it to our contribution we make at the end of the season.

Once again, thank you to those of you who have renewed your chapter membership this year.  For those of you who have not renewed, or joined in the past, a membership application is attached.  Help support chapter’s efforts through your $20 membership.

According to guidelines, Hooters requires you to wear masks upon entering.  Their staff will rely on you as individuals to decide who you are comfortable sitting with.  They will distance anyone who wishes to do so.

Go Big Red!
