For 25 years, Northeast Kansans for Nebraska has provided Husker fans in the area with the opportunity to gather and celebrate all manner of things related to the University of Nebraska.\u00a0 From picnics to game watches to tailgates at sporting events, Husker fans in the region have been able to join together and cheer for their beloved Huskers.<\/p>\n
Beyond this, the group has also had a commitment to the community.\u00a0 For example, each year, we collect donations for the Topeka Rescue Mission.<\/p>\n
Another key focus has been the commitment to providing scholarships to students attending UNL who are children or grandchildren of chapter members and\/or reside in northeastern Kansas.\u00a0 Since 2001, the group has provided over $31,000 in scholarships to 34 students.<\/p>\n
We are only able to do this thanks to the outstanding generosity of our members and area Husker fans, which has been truly amazing and appreciated by the students, their parents, and the leadership of NEKS4NE.\u00a0 Helping students to obtain an education from the University of Nebraska has been a long-standing goal of this organization.\u00a0 The only way we can do that is through your continued contributions.\u00a0 We greatly appreciate your ongoing generosity toward this goal.<\/p>\n
