A guitar god has left our plane of existence Eddie Van Halen passed away yesterday after a long fought battle against cancer.— Wolf Van Halen (@WolfVanHalen) October 6, 2020

Very few guitarists or musicians get to influence and innovate an artform like Eddie did. His playing blew minds and eardrums all over the world. I doubt there is not a guitarist who has learned to play from the late 70′s on who was not influenced by him in some way shape or form. For decades his riffs have filled weight rooms and stadiums all over (there, my sports reference).
You will be missed Mr. Van Halen. Thank you for your time on this piece of rock hurling 67,000 miles per hour through space. Enjoy your time playing with the likes of Hendrix and SRV for the rest of eternity.

. @EddieVanHalen was one of the nicest guys I ever worked with and we shared so many laughs together. His influence on music and especially the guitar has been immeasurable. He was an absolute legend. Eddie, I’ll see you on the other side, my friend. Love, Ozzy.— Ozzy Osbourne (@OzzyOsbourne) October 6, 2020
