Huskers suffer first home loss It was a tough night for Nebraska, as the Huskers fell victim to a mighty Creighton offense in a 10-2 defeat. The Huskers could get nothing going at the plate as they could muster just four hits on the night.
Kyle Perry got the start for the Huskers. Perry gave up a two run home run in the first inning to give the Bluejays the lead.

Creighton tacked on three more runs against Perry in the third inning. A pair of hit batters and a walk loaded the bases. Creighton chased Perry when a double from Jack Strunc scored a pair. Mike Waldron was on in relief and gave up a sac fly to plate another run.
Nebraska would record their first hit of the game in the fourth inning. Ty Roseberry singled after Mojo Hagge walked to put a pair on for Nebraska. Luke Roskam would work a 3-1 count but was unable to come up with a hit.
Max Schreiber came on for the fifth for Nebraska. Schreiber would walk a batter and hit another to put a pair on. A dropped foul ball would lead to another run with a sacrifice fly.
Creighton broke the game open in the seventh, scoring four times. Chad Luensmann appeared for the first time in four weeks and walked his only two hitters. Ben Klenke would relieve Luensmann. Klenke gave up two hits, and a pair of run scoring sacrifice outs.
Nebraska got their two runs in the seventh inning. Roseberry and Angelo Altavilla reached to start the inning. Colby Gomes doubled to score Rosberry. After Alex Henwood walked to load the bases, Cam Chick drove in a run with a RBI groundout.
Tyler Martin pitched a scoreless eighth for the Huskers. Byron Hood came in for the ninth and also pitched a scoreless inning for the Huskers.
Nebraska was unable to plate any runs in the ninth.
Overall, Nebraska came out flat against a good Creighton team. The good news for the Huskers is that this game does not dim the chances the Nebraska has on making a run in the Big Ten. Nebraska should learn from this game and will try and take the season series from Creighton on April 23rd in Omaha.
Nebraska now heads out on a road trip to Penn State to take on the Beavers. Penn State is currently in last place in the Big Ten. Nebraska and Penn State are set for first pitch at 5:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
