It was fun while it lasted And that was it.
After two losses to conference foes Maryland and Iowa the Huskers have found themselves no longer in the Associated Press or Coaches Top 25. Nebraska is still getting votes in both polls but I doubt they will jump back in the rankings in the next couple of weeks.
As for the NET ranking which the NCAA is using this year, they are currently sitting at #15 in the nation. The NET ranking has replaced the RPI for the NCAA Tournament.
Nebraska wasn’t the only Big Ten team that dropped either. Wisconsin is also no longer ranked in either poll after a loss to Minnesota and a win against Penn State.
Ranked Teams in the Big Ten

Michigan – #2 AP & #4 Coaches
Michigan State – #6 AP & #5 Coaches
Ohio State – #16 AP & #17 Coaches
Indiana – #22 AP & #24 Coaches
Iowa #25 Coaches

Other Husker Opponents
Texas Tech – #8 AP & Coaches
The Huskers come back to Pinnacle Bank Arena to take on Penn State this Thursday at 8:00 pm CST.
