You may see a redshirt freshman start at right tackle Your Nebraska Cornhuskers finished prep on Thursday, doing their final workout in Lincoln. As the team will head to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, Mike Riley had a few updates of injured players after practice.

DPE has been nursing a shoulder injury all week, should play. David Knevel dealing with ankle. Is “hopeful.” #Huskers— Tommy Rezac (@Tommy_KLIN) September 7, 2017

An already thin wideout crew could take another hit as De’Mornay Pierson-El could be limited on both offense and punt returns. Speaking as WR play is concerned, it could mean more and more snaps for Tyjon Lindsey, the true frosh.
As far as David Knevel being iffy with an ankle issue, that would mean a lot of snaps goes to redshirt freshman Matt Farniok. While it’s a hell of a baptism by fire for Farniok, he is very talented and should make his mark.

Riley on Austen Stadium: “I really hope we’re ready. Confident in the prep we’ve had.” #Huskers— Tommy Rezac (@Tommy_KLIN) September 7, 2017

The Huskers have been practicing all week inside the Hawks with music and noise going at all times to simulate the Autzen experience. That being said, there is no way to fully reproduce it and Riley has to know that.
The Huskers and Ducks kick on Saturday afternoon. Keep it with CN for all your coverage.
