All who attended had a great time at our chapter’s annual picnic.  The Voice of the Huskers, Greg Sharpe, gave his insight on Scott Frost and his coaching staff and the upcoming 2019 Football season.  He also gave updates on volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball and softball.

We thank Fleming Place Wine & Spirits for providing adult beverages, the Martin family, owners of Banjo’s Restaurant in Pauline, who provided homemade potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw, Hooters who provided great chicken wings and the Runza Restaurant in Lawrence who donated Runzas.

Other sponsors recognized for their support were Eagle Auto Wash, Red Zone, Husker Headquarters, and the University of Nebraska Alumni Association.

It was announced that the road to Nebraska scholarship drive raised over $2,500 toward our scholarship fund.  There were silent and live auctions of Husker memorabilia with the proceeds going to our scholarship fund. Husker fans in the area got ready for the 2019 football season with this great event.  Watch for details on our website for next year’s picnic at Reynolds Lodge.

In the meantime join us at our chapter’s game watches at Hooters in Topeka throughout the season.  Go Big Red!
